Babalonian Rites: What Went Down

It has been a whirlwind of activity. I just returned from almost a week of off the grid camping, and finally feel grounded, reconnected with the earth. That's another story though...because I know many want to hear about the event that was held on April 25th: The third Babalonian Rites.

Sophia and I welcomed a third priestess for this event, Megen, and a lot of support from our friends. We had a fabulous cook who prepared appetizers for us, a DJ to keep the music in good flow and a small troupe of dancing priestesses to offer massage and other services. A spacious loft in which to entertain, and we were all set to hold another great event.

We always begin with a social hour, to allow time for everyone to come in and get comfortable, and this was our most successful yet. Not only had wonderful appetizers, we had homebrewed beer to sample. It was a very welcoming space, which is nice since often this is an industry cloaked in privacy and isolation. One of my goals for this event is to heal the shame of sexuality and desires that don't fix the status quo. This is a first step, by creating a space that is safe to be in, to explore these desires without fear.

During a short ritual, we called in the energies of the lustful Primal, stoking the fires of passion into a frenzy before leading our seekers into the inner temple. The energies were so powerful, our lovely cook ripped her clothes off to join us in our celebrations! So then we had four women delighting our group of men. The men didn't play with each other (not that type of crowd) but they were all comfortable enough to be fucking the same woman.

I enjoy group play just as much as I enjoy a lovely one-on-one tryst, so these events have a special place in my heart. Not only do I get to indulge in an evening on hedonistic pleasure, I get to share it with my friends and turn it into a sacred ritual that honors our wild, sexual side. That old shame comes from broken systems, whose broken bits get stuck in us and can only pulled out with compassion and understanding. This ritual is designed to heal those spots, to remind ourselves of that deep truth: That we are OK, there is nothing wrong with our sexuality, it is designed to help us connect to each other.

The next Babalonian Rites probably won't be until late summer/early fall. Email be to be put on the mailing list for updates so you are the first to know when the next one will be! We are also interested in inviting other women to participate--there are many roles one can play, you will learn about magick and ritual, have sexy fun and be compensated for it. Please be sure to contact me if you are interested in playing a role at the next one.
