To be honest, I didn't think I'd ever step foot on Standford campus. Not for lack of intelligence, but lack of ambition. It barely entered my reality until I started seeing a woman who is a grad student there.
The other week I had a lovely proposition that had me in Palo Alto for a couple days. I would see my client two nights in a row, which really is a treat. And then get to hang out with my lovely lady in her natural environment.
There is a flavor to college campuses...there is a sense of security that allows the youth to be more wild and free, while still imposing order and a need for discipline. There's a certain hush on campus, particularly during the summer, that's punctuated with evening parties.
This is actually my first real...anything with a woman. I fooled around a little in college, small wordless exchanges that never became anything, just brief experiences in our otherwise normal friendships. And this is different, more deliberate. It's not the heated exchanges I often have...this is a curious and slow exploration of another woman, each discovering part of herself in the other. Soft curves cuddling against more soft curves.
